US Marine Corps Sergeant wearing Blues Dress “B” uniform Probably the most recognisable uniform in the world, the corps is identified by the globe and anchor device  worn on both the cap and collar, and the crossed rifles under the three rank chevrons worn on both sleeves. This style of uniform has changed very little since the second world war.

Occasions for wear include parades, ceremonies formal and semi formal and is also authorised for when on leave or liberty.

(this uniform is identical to the Blue Dress “A” uniform, the only difference is on Blue Dress “A”uniform full size medals are worn)

US Marines Corps Service Dress “A” uniform of a Private 1st Class (PFC), shown wearing the overseas cap (garrison cap), a peak cap of the same colour can also be worn.

The rank is identified by the single chevron worn on both sleeves, all buttons and corps insignia worn with this uniform are black.
